Guess Kendall gold sequin dressGuess Kendall gold sequin dress

Here's a follow up to my hunt for a New Year's Eve dress (here). I love wearing something sparkly on NYE, and I was excited to notice a new trend this year - a swishy skirt on sequin dresses. I've never been a fan of a stretchy fabric over my bum, so the idea that you can have your sparkle without the tight skirt made me very happy! I found this dress at Macy's and the slightly pink gold sequins are gorgeous. I have to admit though, I'm not sure if this style says "ice skating costume." As much as I love the loose skirt, it may not be as flattering as I thought it'd be. I'll be shopping the post-Christmas sales, and I'm considering wearing last year's dress again (below)!

Dress: Guess/Macy's, $100
Clutch: Sole Society, $30 (similarsimilar)
Shoes: Enzo Angiolini/Piperlime, $32 (similar, similar, similar)
Necklaces: My Stella & Dot, My Stella & Dot
Earrings: My Stella & Dot
Approx. dates: Shoes and clutch are 2 years ago. Jewelry is this year.

My NYE dress last year! Still available here. They also made a pink version this year - so pretty! The first two stores listed have it on sale.

Blush pink sequin dress

Lord & Taylor /  Amazon
Bloomingdale's  /  Saks /  Dillard's /  Neiman Marcus

Speaking of pretty dresses, this gorgeous dress (right) immediately reminded me of this photo from Pinterest (left). It would be perfect for engagement photos or a fancy event and it's $126 from ASOS!
